The Yaté district, which includes Goro, is typical of the "far South", with its red, rugged landscapes, ecological diversity (protected within several nature reserves and a "provincial" park) and, despite the arid appearance of the environment, abundance of water.
For those interested in treking and exploring, Yaté is wonderful bushwalking and 4WD country.
